How it works

Log your lifts. See one number move.

orcatrain is a strength-training log. You record your profile, your bodyweight and your workouts; every lift is scored with DOTS, so your progress is a single number you can compare across bodyweights rather than a raw kilogram count on a spreadsheet.

Set up your profile

Enter your sex and birth date once. DOTS needs your bodyweight and sex to score a lift; age is derived from your birth date, never stored as a number that goes stale. Everything is metric (kilograms, centimetres) — an imperial display preference changes only what you see, never what is stored.

Log workouts and bodyweight

Add a workout, pick a movement, and record your sets. Log your bodyweight on any day; one entry per day, so logging again simply corrects that day rather than piling up duplicates.

Watch your DOTS score

Every logged lift is scored with DOTS automatically. Your progress charts show the number moving over time, so a hard-won five kilograms is visible whether you weigh 60 or 100 kilograms.

Train with a coach, or on your own

Invite a coach to your roster and they can see the workouts you share; a coach only ever sees a trainee who has accepted them. Prefer to go solo? Everything works without a coach.

About DOTS

One score, comparable across bodyweights.

DOTS normalises a lifter’s total against their bodyweight and sex. It is the same coefficient-based method used in drug-tested powerlifting to rank lifters of different sizes on one scale. orcatrain computes DOTS itself — there is no formula to look up and no third-party data to fetch.

orcatrain does not publish rankings, percentiles, or any comparison against a population — your DOTS score is your own progress over time, and your training data stays private to your account.
